The Department of Mathematics first came into existence in the year 1971, with the introduction of the Arts Stream in the college, named as Pre-University Arts (classes XI and XII ) under affiliation to Guwahati University of Assam. Shri. L.Roy. Laloo was the first Faculty member of the Department. In 2001, we conduct 3 years Bsc Honours Course, where Final Examination were conducted by the affiliating University annually ( N.E.H.U.). At present, we offer the same degree course under Semester System since 2015. Over the years, the Department has gone from strength to strength and produced a number of successful students and also three students of our Department got position in the B.Sc. Result declared by N.E.H.U. Currently, the Department has five Faculty members
